Another premiere in Hanover - A Cappella Brunch

Our friends invited us to the very first "A Cappella Brunch" at the 5th Avenue Restaurant and it was really an outstanding experience. The restaurant belongs to the Arabella Sheraton Hotel and has a new special concept called "Food in Style" - Live Cooking - Live Jazz - Barbecue and More!

The "A Cappella Brunch" provides a very delicious choice of food. Coffee, tea and juices are also included. We had the pleasure to hear the A Capella group "Vocaldente" with songs from their first CD "Let's Misbehave". Their program is very multifaceted and fun to listen. The next "A Cappella Brunch" is at the Pentecost weekend.

In June, the 5th Avenue Restaurant also offers a "Seafood & Steaks - all you can eat buffet" for 28,- Euro per person including live Jazz music every friday. If you're interested make sure to print out the
2for1 coupon from their website.
I think these are very neat gift ideas! An elaborate combination of entertainment and delicous food.

Just visit the
website to get all event information. (by Claudia L.)

Have you ever been in South Africa?

If not, you can already get an impression in Hanover:  The South African restaurant Samberger's in Sehnde-Hoever offers original South African and Namibian food, for example: gnu, zebra, kudu, springbock or oryx. Other worthy recommendations are the home made croquettes of pumpkin seed and the sauces – e.g. cherry sauce with Madagascar pepper or Kalahari truffle sauce.

If you like a more exotic dishes there is also crocodile tail or king klip, a tasty fish of the South African oceans.  A number of South African wines are served as well. Mr. and Mrs. Samberger are native South Africans and manage to create a quite familiar atmosphere in their restaurant.  It is also decorated with a lot of original African animal trophies like the heads of an ostrich or a buffalo and a complete lion.

It is also possible to roast African game on your own grill at home. Samberger’s directly imports from Africa and sells to the public, gut ostrich and other such foods do not come cheap. However, it is an interesting experience for friends. (by Andreas G.)
